About Winding Willow School
Winding Willow School first opened in 2013. We are a harmonious mix of teachers and assistant teachers, happy to guide the children using positive discipline and gentle modeling. We are grateful to spend this time with the children, in the great outdoors, and with each other. All cultures, genders, sexual orientations, and religions are welcome.
About Our Program
We spend at least half the day outdoors either in our yard, at our sister school next door, or at lower Paramount Open Space, which features meadows and woods. We have story time and song circle in English and Spanish daily. We do painting and crafts, gardening, and free play. We use songs as part of the daily routine to help with transitions. Once a week, the children make fresh tortillas, and we incorporate them into snack time. Our menu is mostly organic and we can accommodate most dietary restrictions. We provide snack and lunch.
Schedule and Prices
Application Fee $125.00
A materials and registration fee of $250 plus your first month’s tuition is due in order to hold your child’s spot for the 2025-2026 school year.

About Teacher Aureole
Aureole has 16 years of experience in Waldorf early childhood education and mentoring school aged children. She also has 2 grown sons and twin grandsons. Aureole brings her Mexican-American culture and her love of music to the daily preschool activities. Social justice, good nutrition, and mindfulness practices are central to her life. She uses all of these in service to the children, families, and teachers at Winding Willow.
